Surgery is one of the most active and dynamic programs at Seven Rivers Regional. The hospital maintains five advanced, full-service operating suites and two minor ambulatory care operating rooms. There are nine recovery beds in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for use in the post-surgical stabilization of patients.

A wide range of procedures take place in Surgical Services from shoulder arthroscopy to abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. The medical center's affiliated board certified or eligible physicians perform a vast array of open and minimally invasive procedures. Seven Rivers Regional, in conjunction with its affiliated physicians, have performed many "firsts" for Citrus County and surrounding areas and we continue to bring surgical advances to our community.

Our outstanding team of clinical professionals includes highly skilled surgeons, specialty-trained anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, physician assistants, radiology technologists, therapists and many others.

Outpatient Surgery

Technological advances have allowed many surgical procedures to be done on an outpatient basis. Day surgery at the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Seven Rivers Regional minimizes a patient's time away from home or time off from work, as well as enables patients to recover in the comfort of their own environment.

Billing & Insurance

You will receive separate bills from the hospital, surgeon, anesthesiologist and any other medical specialist who provided your treatment. If you have any questions, 352.795.8318.

Some insurance companies do not cover certain elective surgeries. Insurance plans may require a prepayment and/or second medical opinion. You should check with your insurance company to make sure you satisfy any pre-certification requirements.
