SRRMC is recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA) as a Get With The Guidelines program participant. The medical center is involved in all three AHA Get With The Guidelines programs - Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure and Stroke. The quality improvement initiative provides hospital staff tools that follow proven evidence-based guidelines and procedures.
In addition, the hospital joined the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's 100,000 Lives Campaign, the first-ever national initiative to save a specified number of lives by a certain date. To this end, Seven Rivers Regional has implemented quality improvement changes in order to "deliver reliable evidence-based care for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) . This is being accomplished by consistently delivering key measures--including early administration of aspirin and beta-blockers--which have been shown to prevent patient deaths from heart attack.
