Primary Stroke Center
Every second counts when you have a stroke (also known as a brain attack). In the tick of a clock, 32,000 brain cells die when a stroke strikes... 1.9 million for every minute you wait. If you believe you or someone you know is suffering from stroke, it's important to seek medical care right away at a medical center that specializes in stroke--a Certified Primary Stroke Center--like Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center.
Seven Rivers Regional has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers (see news release). The only Certified Primary Stroke Center in Citrus and Levy Counties, Seven Rivers Regional follows national standards and guidelines published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association for stroke care. Less than 1% of all hospitals in the United States have received this certification.
